Allen Ahearn

Allen Ahearn graduated from the University of Maryland in 1960 and received a Masters in Business Administration from George Washington University in 1970. In 1976, he and his wife, Patricia opened a book store/art gallery in Bethesda under the name Quill & Brush. They are the authors of Book Collecting: A Comprehensive Guide, published by Putnam’s in 1989, revised and enlarged in 1995 and 2000; and Collected Books: The Guide to Values, published in 1991 and revised and enlarged in 1997 and 2002. They have also published over 220 Author Price Guides, bibliographical checklists with price estimates for individual authors’ books. Their website is www.qbbooks.com.
