Author Biography

  • Deborah Martinson, Occidental College

    Deborah Martinson’s research in auto/biography and fiction informs her research and her teaching. Her books focus on personal, historical and political contexts: Lillian Hellman: A Life with Foxes and Scoundrels (2005), In the Presence of Audience: The Self in Diaries and Fiction (2003) and her in progress work—a biography of Virginia Durr. Martinson is Associate Professor of English Writing at Occidental College in Los Angeles.
