Abstract

An excerpt from Bonnie Culver’s one-woman play Norris, based on Norris Church Mailer’s memoir A Ticket to the Circus. Speaking from a podium in 2010, Norris recalls her first meeting with Mailer in Arkansas, their courtship, his delight in her Southern family stories, and her answer to the perennial question of which wife she was.

  • Bonnie Culver, Wilkes University

    Bonnie Culver is an Associate Professor of English and the Director and Cofounder of the Maslow Family Graduate Program in Creative Writing at Wilkes University. Her one-woman show Norris, based upon the Norris Church Mailer autobiography, A Ticket to the Circus, is scheduled for production at the Edgemar Center for the Arts in California, starring actress Anne Archer.
