Abstract

Mailer matters because without him we inhabit the cozy myopia of such simplicity rather than forcing our eyes uncomfortably open as we engage with our most human of qualities: complexity.

Author Biography

  • Fraser Mann, York St. John’s University

    Fraser Mann earned his BA and MA from York St. John’s University between 1995 and 2000. In 2004 he qualified as a teacher at the University of Greenwich and spent several years teaching in Further Education in London. He decided to concentrate on furthering his academic career and returned to York St. John’s University to begin his doctoral research into twentieth century American war narratives in October 2010.
